About Wall, SD Local Government

Wall, South Dakota is a business-friendly community with strong agricultural roots. Many of our community members are involved in the city, whether serving as elected officials or volunteering. Our hands-on approach to government, economic development and enhancing quality of life has allowed our community to fund fantastic projects like a community recreation center and gymnasium and a state of the art football field for students. 

Wall is run by a Mayor-Council system form of government. Wall City Council has six members, two elected from each of the three wards in the community. 

The mayor is elected at large.

City Council meetings are the first and third Thursday of each month and all are welcome.
