Join Our Team: Economic Development Executive Director

Wall Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to fill the pivotal role of Economic Development Executive Director. As the primary driver of economic growth and prosperity for Wall and its surrounding areas, you'll play a vital role in shaping our future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Oversight: Lead the implementation of the WEDC Strategic Plan, focusing on capital and organizational growth, housing development, business retention and expansion, and business creation and attraction.
  • Administrative Management: Manage day-to-day operations of WEDC, including preparing for and conducting monthly board meetings, maintaining nonprofit status, and submitting required reports.
  • Community Engagement: Act as a liaison between WEDC, local businesses, city departments, and community stakeholders, representing our interests at various levels.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred in public/business administration, economics, or related field.
  • Experience: Experience in economic development or nonprofit management preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, strong communication and networking skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and maintain confidentiality.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $24/hour, with overtime available.
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, vacation and sick leave, retirement plan.
