In 2018, WEDC is trying new things, meeting new people and spreading the good news about our community!
This year, Wall has a booth at the 2018 Black Hills Stock Show (BHSS), and we could not be more excited!
Why are we at the Stock Show?
According to the BHSS website, the event draws over 330,000 people to the Rapid City area. 2013 BHSS marketing data reported top business travelers as cattle buyers, cattle consigners, horse buyers, horse consigners and vendors. Recreation travelers included those attending horse events, youth day participants and other contestants. Pleasure travelers consisted of event ticket buyers and shoppers. These individuals represent a diverse market of agriculture producers, young families and locals. This wide variety of attendees provides Wall with the perfect opportunity to spread the word about exploring, living and thriving in Wall.
What are we talking about?
It’s all about Wall! The Wall BHSS booth represents the entire Wall community. We are talking about agriculture opportunities in our area as well as Wall’s fantastic hiking, biking and camping opportunities. We are spreading the word about available land and sites for business development. We are talking about our available daycare facility. We are promoting the opportunity to move to Wall, build a home and pay zero City property taxes for five years. Booth volunteers are handing out event calendars to make sure the Wall Crawl, Wall Celebration, Wall in the Fall and other community events become part of every booth visitor’s future itinerary.
How can you find us?
We would love to have as many community members stop by our booth as possible! We will be at the BHSS until 7:30 pm, Saturday, February 3rd. We are located in the Rapid City Civic Center, on the second floor, room E, booth 39. Just look for the “Window to the West” banner.
Make sure to listen to Kick 104 FM from 1 pm – 2 pm, Friday, February 2nd! Wall will be featured on the station’s LIVE Stock Show broadcast.
