The Wall Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is excited to announce a robust lineup of classes and training opportunities coming this fall! These offerings are designed to support personal growth, workforce development, and business success right here in our community.

CDL Training – October

Whether you’re starting from scratch or been driving on farm for years and need to upgrading your license, CDL classes will be available for all levels of drivers this October.

Cost: $1,700 to $4,500 depending on experience

Pre-requisite: CDL permit must be obtained before class begins (visit the DMV to get started)

Assessments will be held this summer to evaluate driver abilities. This will help us build a class schedule for October and allow students to determine their cost and register for the class.

To get on the assessment list, please contact:

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals or businesses looking to expand their transportation capabilities.

Due to instructor availability, our Grant Writing Workshop will be held mid-summer rather than fall—but it’s not to be missed!

One-day intensive course

• Covers:

• How to find grant opportunities

• How to prepare and write a successful proposal

• How to manage a grant once awarded

Perfect for nonprofits, small businesses, and individuals looking to tap into private and public grant funding.

Leadership Training Program – October through April

Sharpen your skills and deepen your community knowledge with our comprehensive Leadership Training Series. Classes will meet once a month, starting in October and running through April.

You’ll learn about:

• Effective communication and leadership skills

• How local, county, and state governments operate

• The role of economic development

• Insights from local business owners

• Opportunities in agriculture and industry sectors

This course is ideal for emerging leaders, business owners, professionals, and community-minded individuals.

Coffee Connect – Returning this Fall

Our popular Coffee Connect series will return this fall once things slow down a bit in Wall. These sessions bring together local professionals, business owners, and community leaders for informative and engaging discussions over a cup of coffee.

Stay tuned for more details, dates, and registration info!

If you’re interested in any of the above, or want to get involved, feel free to reach out to WEDC—I am here to help build opportunities and grow Wall’s future.
